A new photography club has started at the Tura Beach Country Club.
The first meeting was held on Sunday 13 November at 7:30pm. Future meetings will generally held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, with a photo shoot of some description to be held on the 1st Sunday of each month. There will be occasional exceptions, so see the Calendar page for a full schedule, or see the sidebar to the right for details of the next meeting and photo shoot.

The club is informal and non-competitive, and no membership fees are envisaged (at least not in the first instance).
For those who couldn't make it to the meeting, here are the main points:
Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker for the night was Dave Petty whose talk was titled "Happy Accidents".
Dave discovered his passion for photography a little over ten years ago when he "stumbled" into a Diploma of Photography course at the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE (SQIT) in Toowoomba, Queensland. Dave brought along numerous examples of some of his own photography to illustrate what a bit of luck and being ready with the camera can produce.

The theme for photos for the next meeting will be our 6 May photo shoot at Eden Wharf.
